They say a lot can happen in 1 year… Really, no kidding?!

So this was me exactly 1 year ago today. I just went through a 5 hour operation to remove a brain tumour.

Luckily everything went fine… mostly because I believed it would and also from the happy drugs they were feeding me.

It’s been a wild ride the past 12 months. Lots of uncertainty, radiation, chemo, meetings with Doctors and Naturopaths, massages and acupuncture, seizures, researching, etc.

I can honestly say I’ve learned more this year than at any other time in my life. I have also learned who is really there for me in life and also that, even though its cliche, we have to take it one day at time and enjoy each day.

I’m proud to say I’m doing really well now. I have 4 cycles of Chemo left (4 months from now I’ll be done), my MRI scans are great so far and I feel very good other than the fatigue from some of the medications I’m still on to get through all of this – then I’ll hopefully start weaning off them to feel even better. I’ve been lucky to go on a couple of trips – A memorable one to Disney with all our family. – I even went on a few rides that I might not have gone on before – taking the F-it attitude πŸ™‚ This is me below with my 2 little favourite people in the World! (My wife is pretty little also and has played a big part also but she was taking the picture!)

Lots of love everyone, enjoy all the moments!

      1. I don’t know you but I know Jodi and from what I have read on here about you, you are an amazing person. I live with an anuerisism(excuse the spelling lol) in the lower part of my heart that is in- operable, but I don’t worry about it, I take my meds and try to be as healthy and an active as I can be. I guess I was born with this condition so I have lived all these years not knowing, so I continue on like I still don’t know. We are all God’s children and only He can decide when our time comes. With God’s Love and the love of good family and friends there isn’t anything we can’t conquer. God never gives us something he doesn’t feel we can’t handle and if we can’t handle it, then we give it back to Him. Prayers, good wishes to you and your family.

  1. Keep that positive attitude! Thank you for sharing your story and inspiring others to be grateful and love life.
    Cheers!
